Configuration options
- Built into monoblock flasks — filling, vibration, vacuum sealing, cooling and reclamation in one unit
- Standalone system at 4-6 tonnes an hour — to retrofit an existing shop
- Standalone system at 9-12 tonnes an hour — for larger volumes
- A closed sand loop cuts new-sand consumption

Why reclamation matters
Lost foam casting (LFC) and V-process molding both use binder-free sand that needs cooling and cleaning after every shakeout before it can go back into circulation. Without reclamation, a shop must keep buying new molding sand and disposing of the spent sand.
Two ways to get it
- Built in — as part of a monoblock flask, where filling, vibration, vacuum sealing, cooling and reclamation happen in one unit with no separate equipment.
- Standalone system — at 4-6 or 9-12 tonnes an hour, for shops that already mold without a built-in sand loop and want to close the cycle without replacing the whole line.
The final system — capacity, hopper volume, pneumatic conveying — is sized to the volume of molding sand your shop has in circulation.
Frequently asked questions
Is sand reclamation a separate machine or part of the flask?
Both. In Modern Technologies monoblock flasks, reclamation is built into the molding cycle; standalone systems at 4-6 and 9-12 tonnes an hour are also supplied for existing shops.
What does a sand reclamation system do?
It cools and cleans the molding sand after shakeout and returns it to circulation instead of buying new sand.
Can a reclamation system be sized for a specific shop volume?
Yes. Its capacity and scope are matched individually to the volume of sand in circulation - send us your shop's parameters and we will size the set.
