Turnkey copper wire rod production mini-plant
- The continuous casting and rolling (CCR) production line is a compact, integrated solution that covers the full production cycle - from remelting copper scrap or cathode copper to finished copper wire rod 8-16 mm in diameter. Key technical specifications of the line: Output: 1,000-10,000 t/year; Rod diameter: 8-16 mm; Copper purity: 99.9% (Cu-ETP); Required floor area: from 800 sq. m; Installed power: 500-2,000 kW; Installation time: 3-6 months.
Key equipment includes:
- Melting section: equipped with an induction furnace of 0.5-5 t capacity, a holding mixer, and copper dosing and degassing systems.
- Continuous casting machine: provides horizontal or vertical casting of the melt through a water-cooled crystallizer at a speed of 1-6 m/min.
- Rolling mill: consists of 8-16 stands, delivering 1-5 t/h output and rod of 8 mm diameter to standard.
- Cooling and protection system: applies emulsion cooling to the rod and creates a protective atmosphere (nitrogen or steam) to prevent oxidation.
- Coiling section: includes an automatic coiler with coils weighing 2-5 t and a packaging line.
